"Kindness is a part of my personality...I don't like being rude to anyone," says Marwah, a middle school student at Malik Academy who strives to embody her values by showing kindness to others even during conflict.
"If you're being rude, you're being rude to yourself. It's better to be a good person, brighten up your life and surround yourself with positivity."
Kindness is an essential leadership skill, as Marwah explains: "Being a leader means that you're leading other people who don't know the right path, to the right path." This means modeling the behavior you want others to adopt.
Marwah and the other participants at Hope Collaborative are making this powerful commitment, and we hope you enjoy the way she explains these essential truths!
