Since 2014, Hope Collaborative has worked to connect students all over the Boston area with innovative leadership development programming. The power of many different youth communities coming together, sharing stories, and creating change has been inspiring to witness and be a part of. The teens' Stories of Hope and Leadership speak for themselves.
Our partnership with The Presidency School is a special one. Founded in 1995 with just 30 students, Presidency now serves over 1000 young people and has become one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the district.
Shravya Reddy, co-founder, and Martin Langford, a visiting educator from the United Kingdom, drive the program with us. The collaboration is serving as a pilot for Hope's Digital Gateway project, which will allow us to support a global network of learning communities working with our curriculum and resources.
Initial results from Presidency have been positive: "Martin and I keep exchanging glances through the session and get completely surprised at how perceptive some of the students are," Shravya shares.
Students are already relating meaningful personal stories of conflict resolution and creating powerful artwork expressing their views. According to the facilitators, they are also excited about the international connection and exploring Hope via our website and Facebook page! We look forward to sharing more of this exciting new chapter, and congratulate Shravya and Martin on a fantastic launch.
In the words of one Presidency High School student:
"The only thing stronger than fear is Hope."
