How many relationships do you have where you can be yourself, get support, and share intimate insights?
And how many places are there where you feel physically, spiritually, and emotionally safe?
Our work at Hope developing youth leaders is in part delivering safe spaces for kids who struggle to connect in the midst of stress and economic struggle to learn.
We worked this fall with The Presidency School of Nizamabad, India to do just that. Their leadership and teaching staff is one of the most effective and innovative in the region.
On this video, Harsha and Sahithi explain that “Hope Collaborative was a safe place to share personal experiences," where they could develop leadership qualities and skills.
According to Harsha, compromise "means we value our relationships more than our ego.”
And Sahithi reports, “The best thing to learn in our lives is the habit of compromise. It is better to bend a little then to break it forever.”
You can bend things - and not break them - when you trust the places and people you're with.
Watch these young teens - on the other side of the world - tell their story of Hope and Leadership.
